Reach For 200

Hello Friends
You will remember that in my newsletter dated
28/07/15 and headed "Cruel Nations", I predicted that if canned
lion hunting was banned, then lion breeders would simply
slaughter them and cash in on the body parts industry.
In the province of the Free State in South
Africa, this process began last week when 80 lions were
slaughtered by a lion breeder, cashing in their body parts. It
is certain that more lions will be slaughtered shortly.
Canned lion hunting is in fact still legal in
South Africa, but Safari Club International, the biggest hunting
group in the world, has banned canned lion hunting to its
				members, labeling it as unethical.
The majority of hunters that supported the
canned lion hunting industry in South Africa were American and
				Safari Club International members.
Effectively the SCI ban dealt a devastating
blow to the canned lion hunting industry in South Africa.
In a letter to the President, I pleaded with
Cyril Ramaphosa to end the canned lion industry once and for all
by supporting the SCI ban and making it illegal.
I quote: "Mr. President, to allow game
farmers to put an apex predator like a male lion in a two
hundred hectare camp and allow an overseas hunter to shoot it
when the lion has no chance of escape, is unfair, unethical and
demonstrates cruelty of the highest order. Then to tell the
world that it is wise use of a renewable resource, is deceptive
to say the least. Mr. President the time is right to take this
cancer called canned lion hunting out of our system once and for
				all"
Now as the process gathers momentum, some
7,000 to 8,000 lions are in danger of being slaughtered for
				their body parts.
The Proposal:
I have launched through the "Tread Lightly
Foundation" the "Reach For 200" initiative.
In short, I am looking for photographers,
hunters, conservationists and concerned citizens to help me
raise R100 million ($8 million) to save 200 captive lions from
				being slaughtered.
Modus Operandi:
1. Suitable land will be identified and
				purchased.
2. The land will be fenced with a 2.4 m
				electrical predator proof fence.
3. The land will be stocked with suitable
				prey
4. The captive lions purchased from the lion
breeders, will be introduced onto the land
5. Ecotourism will be developed.
6. Jobs will be created.
Anyone interested in assisting me in this
				project should email me
